Maui Part 3

Wow! We have had such a busy summer! I figured it was about time to finish blogging about my Maui trip! On our snorkel cruise to the Molokini crater we saw so many beautiful fish, an octopus, and a few green sea turtles!

The turtles were so amazing! They were almost as big as me! It was truly the experience of a lifetime swimming next to these rare creatures!

This is me touching the octopus!

The next morning we got up bright and early and drove the road to Hana. The road is very narrow with hairpin turns and amazing views around every corner! Not a good drive for someone who gets car sick! I only saw two waterfalls before i got a huge migraine and got sick! I slept for an hour in the car and missed the whole thing! Alex said it was his favorite part of the trip even though he didn't get to get out and hike to any other waterfalls because I was passed out in the passenger seat!

This was my favorite waterfall! We had to hike on these huge slippery river rocks for a mile before we reached the waterfall! It was an adventure I will never forget!

I woke up in time to see the Seven Sacred Pools!

Later that afternoon, after we got back to our hotel, we saw this beautiful rainbow!

The last day we were there we had to burn time till our flight left that night. We checked out of our hotel and pretty much just wandered around looking for things to do! We stopped at a restraunt named Lulu's and had breakfast. I got pancakes that had caramelized bananas and pineapple chunks topped with kula cream! They were the most delicious pancakes i have ever had! I can't believe i didn't take a picture! They were huge though and i could only eat half of mine! We went mini golfing, walked around a few shopping centers, saw the movie Date Night, and then we went to the airport and had dinner, then we played cards until we boarded our plane!
This trip was the most amazing experience! It means so much to me that i got to spend it with my awesome husband! We had so much fun I can't wait till we go back!

  1. Its so fun to look at this and know all about where you went. I got sick on the Road to Hana too, but at the very end- its too bad you missed it. I hope everything is going good for you. :)

  2. Beautiful! Your pictures make me want to hop on a plane to Hawaii tomorrow! How about we plan our next girls get together for Hawaii??

This is Maija-Liisa by the way, I am in Jared's account and am too lazy to switch :)

  3. Okay Michelle, what's with the new Christmas border and the same old Hawaii Blog? You need to stop living in the past and move on. I love Hawaii too, but there are nice things about being home as well. Take Alex's fat friend Darren for instance. He's pretty cool in a bowl full of jelly kind of way. Or there's your girl's Tuesday night babysitter. He's pretty awesome and even painted Kimbers nails one time. Don't forget that distracting guy in church who's always crackin' jokes and talking to Alex about other things than the lesson. Okay, well he's annoying but the point I'm trying to make is your and Alex's fans need more. We have needs too! Where are the freakin' paparazzi when we need them?

By the way, there are only 4 months, 1 week and 1 Day untill your anniversary. Love you guys.
